The Great Gorilla Run 2016

A conservation fundraising event

Why not join Bill Oddie and hundreds of people dressed as gorillas to run, jog or walk 8km though the City of London in the 14th annual Great Gorilla Run – to help save a species on the edge of extinction. Since the first Great Gorilla Run in 2003, thousands of people have donned gorilla suits and joined the 8k fun-run route starting at Minster Court in the City and passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including the Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. Now in its 14th year, this incredible event has raised well over £2 million for gorilla conservation and poverty reduction projects in central Africa. There are just 880 mountain gorillas left in the world. We'd like to see their numbers increase but we can only achieve it with your help. Registration costs £30 and includes your very own gorilla suit which you get to keep! We then ask you to raise as much as you can in sponsorship before the run. Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You will be contacted by the The Gorilla Organization with more information as soon as possible once you have booked your tickets. The Gorilla Organization will send you your registration pack which will include your running number and gorilla suit once you have registered for the run.
