Head to North London as the Islington Assembly Hall is turning back the clock. Emanating from the Liverpool Neo-Psychedelia scene of the early '80s along with bands such as Echo, the Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes, The Icicle Works had their debut hit in 1983 with "Love is a Wonderful Colour" which reached the national charts at number 15. Led by Ian McNabb, The Icicle Works then went on to release a series of influential singles such as "Evangeline", "Hollow Horse", "All the Daughters", "Understanding Jane" and "Whisper to a Scream ( Birds Fly)" which went top 40 in the USA.
