What is it? 

For one night only, we’ll be transforming a not-so-secret venue in Dalston into The Journey of Illumination, packed full of wonder and awe. We can’t tell you exactly what’ll be happening – though if we were to give you a clue, we’d say that you might want to stop dragging your heels and come ready to Vogue – but we like it better that way: we want to feed your curiosity. 

All you need to do is grab a ticket, show up at your allotted time, and leave the rest to us, as you embrace an evening less ordinary. You’ll be led through our opulent, specially-designed, multi-part experience and served up jaw-dropping entertainment, with a side of delicious Hendrick’s Gin cocktails along the way, and no-alcohol options available too.

As you’re taken on this trip, you’ll meet talented performers, from Le Gateau Chocolat – one of Time Out London’s top ten cabaret stars – whose presence has to be seen to be believed, to Haus of Dons, who’ll show you a Voguing extravaganza the likes of which you’ve never seen before.

When is it?

Thursday August 8, between 5.30pm and 9pm at MC Motors, 76 Stoke Newington Road, London, N16 7XB. You’ll be asked to select a 30-minute slot as the experience runs for roughly this amount of time, but you can stay as long as you like in the bar afterwards.

• Valid for one ticket to The Journey of Illumination, presented by Hendrick’s Gin & Time Out on Thursday, August 8, for your selected session time.
• The ticket gets you entry to the event with a sample on arrival, and two Hendrick’s Gin cocktails to drink at your leisure at the end of the experience. Low/no-alcohol options are also available.
• This event is restricted to those aged 18 and over.

• Each session will run for approx. 30 minutes and ends in the bar (patrons can stay longer in the bar afterwards).
