How many ways are there to see a movie really? Well, when you add screening magicians The Nomad Cinema into the conversation, the possibilities are endless. This time round they bring a series of Sunday evening cabaret-style screenings at the opulent surroundings of The Hippodrome's Matcham Room. - For this one, get ready for Hugo Weaving playing the divine drag queen Mitzi Del Bra in the flamboyant and utterly fabulous 1994 cult classic directed by Stephan Elliott. This delightful deluge of tack-a-rama tells the story of two drag queens and a transsexual on a journey in their gorgeous lavender bus from Sydney to Alice Springs to perform their show at a holiday resort - The movie won an Oscar for Best Costume Design - Tickets include a 'Queen of the Desert' cocktail on arrival, an exclusive mini-performance from The Supreme Fabulettes before the film + a £10 super-odd chip Over 18s only. Valid ID required. This screening is partly seated at tables in cabaret style first come, first seated with waiter service throughout the film.
