This spring you’re invited on a gastronomical journey underground to celebrate one humble yet powerful ingredient – the olive. Join us from Monday 20th March and have your taste buds transported to Italy as part of a unique and immersive bar experience. Drink and dine under a canopy of olive trees and vines, all while experiencing the sights, tastes and smells of an Italian summer’s day. Davide Gagliazzo, Bar Manager at Union Street Café, has joined forces with Martini, the world’s leading vermouth brand famed as the perfect Italian aperitivo, to create an experimental bar menu, with each cocktail featuring olive oil. Head Chef Davide Degiovanni has produced a unique bar snack menu celebrating the olive, each dish perfectly paired to a cocktail on the menu. Our drinks and bar snacks feature two contrasting single-variety extra virgin olive oils from Puglia. Coratina is full-bodied, fruity and spicy; Leccino (made using one of Italy’s favourite olives) is a lighter, golden-green oil. Duration: 1.5 hours from start time. Over 18s only. Valid ID required.
