The Play That Goes Wrong

A glorious triumph that will have you cursing the final curtain

Who can resist a 1920s murder mystery? Especially one with a premise in which everything that can go wrong does. Normally a cast of clumsy thespians would be a cringeworthy recipe for disaster. In the hands of Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, however, failure is transformed into a glorious triumph that will have you cursing the final curtain. This is the 2015 Olivier Award winner for Best New Comedy, so laughs are somewhat guaranteed. Opened in 1929, The Duchess is one of the youngest and smallest West End theatres. The interior decoration as it is today was introduced in 1934, creating an atmospheric venue where productions can be lifted to the next level. ★★★★★ – The Daily Mail ★★★★☆ – The Financial Times ★★★★☆ – The Independent ★★★★☆ – Sunday Telegraph Not suitable for ages under 8.
