From the fairytales of old to the pop music of today, from the classics of the Disney films to the real-life royalty, the use of the word princess has never been so wide-ranging. The Princess Monologues is a play that attempts to explore those meanings.
In a series of 10-minute shorts, princesses from all different walks of life tell us what it means to be a royalty in the 21st Century. Delving into diverse stories and backgrounds, all monologues are set in our contemporary times and presented by a single performer.
The Bread + Roses Theatre are also offering a little bonus if you come dressed as a princess. Come in a costume – get a quid back. Simple as that.
Directed by Tessa Hart and performed by Eleanor Dillon-Reams.
