There's no doubt that The Seven Fingers are one of the world's most exciting and inventive circus troupes. Hailing from Quebec, they've caught the UK's attention in the past with their critically-acclaimed shows Traces, Psy and Sequence Eight. Now, they'll be returning to the Peacock Theatre for the first time since 2010 with their latest circus spectacular.
Triptyque is an incredible triple bill of dance and circus created in collaboration with some of the world's most cutting edge choreographers. The first piece – directed by Marie Chouinard – focuses on gravity and its effect on the movement of the body. Victor Quijada directs the second piece, a 30 minute hand-balancing quintet that explores the relationship between stillness and movement. The final piece (by Marcos Morau) is an emphatic return to the circus, with the artists freeing themselves from internal and physical objects.
Sadler's Wells has been presenting theatrical productions for over 300 years. Constantly supporting the arts, they host a diverse programme of entertainment. Alongside theatre, they are world leaders in contemporary dance and they also provide a home for artists.
"These Canadian circus performers own the space where acrobatics meet dance." – Evening Standard
