The Shed With Rhys Lewis

Another talented young singer joins The Shed

"Woodshedding" is a musician's term meaning "going off to practice." It's typically used by jazz musicians to suggest a devotion to getting it right. Everybody at Smitty's spends significant time in "the shed", so Kansas Smitty's thought it would be the perfect name for their new weekly Thursday night concerts. Each week they invite guests and friends from across the musical landscape into "The Shed". With Smitty's creative direction, they'll work on new material and collaborate with new artists to perform a specially curated and arranged set. Rhys Lewis returns for a set of ballads he's been working on for Smitty's crooner, Pete Horsfall. Rhys is a young singer with a real devotion to getting it right. He also has attended nearly every Basement Tapes show to date, and is thus in perfect line with Thelonious Monk's philosophy: "never ask for a gig, just be around". Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Bar open from 6pm.
