On June 19, Short Sighted Cinema hosts The Shortest Nights, a midsummer celebration of short film. The event will showcase six new cutting-edge programmes featuring the work of emerging British filmmakers, with summer festival vibes at The Yard in Hackney Wick. Short Sighted Cinema offer programmes of the very best emerging British talent, with everything from animation to comedy, drama to documentary – with a gritty edge and a comic tone. Prepare to be taken on a journey through each theme, with highs and lows that will bring you to tears, inspire you and leave you laughing with joy. For No Borders, there will be 70 minutes of short cinema that explores identity across cultural differences and political boundaries. Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Running time is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. Latecomers may not be admitted.
