The Smalls Film Festival 2015: Animation Screening

Come and see some excellent short animation films

Currently in its 10th year, The Smalls Film Festival has now become an intrinsic part of the London film scene. From discovering young talent and creating networking opportunities to showcasing a great selection of short films, this is the place to be this September. For this one you will be introduced to short animation films that will make you scratch your head and give you something to think about. My Dad Dir: Marcus Armitage / UK / 5:53 Inherited opinions. Inherited isolation. A short film depicting a dad's influence on a young boy's life. His judgmental character mixed with the boys fondness for his dad prove to be a toxic mix that tears away at a world of opportunity and experiences. Furry Lady Dir: Darren Doherty / UK / 11:00 An unusual love story about a man who falls in love with a cat after the murder of the woman he adored. But is the cat all it seems? Junk Girl Dir: Mohammad Zare / Iran / 15:22 There once was a girl who was made up of junk. She looked really dirty, and she smelled like a skunk. She was always unhappy, or in one of her slumps-perhaps 'cause she spent so much time down in the dumps. If the Cuckoo Don't Crow Dir: Steve Kirby / UK / 2:00 Brian from Melton recounts how his mother, Doris, was the woman who predicted the October 1987 hurricane and famously phoned the BBC, but was told not to be so daft. I love Hooligans Dir: Jan-Dirk Bauw / The Netherlands / 12:26 A football hooligan feels unconditional love for his club. However, being gay, he has to hide his identity in order to survive in this world that is so precious to him. Tickets include a free drink.
