The Suicide

A hilarious tale of immortality, corruption and kebabs

Things are getting tough for Sam. No job, benefits stopped and stuck in a tiny flat with his wife Maya and her mum. The pressure is building. It feels like there might be only one way out. But every ending is a beginning and there are plenty of people keen to capitalise on Sam’s momentous decision. From corrupt local politicians to social media-savvy kids, everyone wants a piece of Sam’s demise. It scarcely matters what Sam actually wants. Faced with the promise of immortality, what’s his life worth? Suhayla El-Bushra takes the satiric masterpiece by Nikolai Erdman and smashes it into contemporary urban Britain, with hip-hop, live music and fast-paced humour. It’s outrageous, loud and very funny. Contains swearing, nudity, strobe lighting, sex, drugs and sausage rolls. Please pick up your tickets at least 30 minutes prior to the start time. Running time: approx 2 hours 40 minutes, including interval. You will be allocated the best seats available upon arrival. They will have a face value of between £35 - £15. For you safety and comfort please note that large bags and rucksacks are not permitted in the auditoriums. There is a free cloakroom available.
