‘The Sun: Living With Our Star’, one of the Science Museum’s late-night openings

Our tickets for this cosmic experience cost just £10.50

What is it?

An exhibition where spectacular interactive experiences, unique artefacts and stunning images all shed light on our closest star.

Why go?

Ready for a bit of sky-searching? For the Science Museum’s latest exhibition, you can take a closer look (but not direct, or without sunglasses) at the Sun. After all, since it shapes our sense of time, health and our environment, the star is of vital importance to humankind – so it’s probably time that we all got to know it a little better. In the Science Museum’s ‘The Sun: Living With Our Star’, you'll get to uncover how people have tried to harness its power and uncover its secrets since the dawn of civilisation. From golden solar religious artefacts from the Nordic Bronze Age to details of upcoming NASA and ESA solar missions, expect out-of-this-world visuals and breathtaking interactive experiences galore. And as if that wasn’t enough, you'll get to bask in sunlight in the indoor beach, virtually try on historic sunglasses in a digital mirror and see the Sun rise in different seasons and locations around the world. Go forth and catch some rays, people.
