The Wunderkammer

Ted-style talks combined with improve comedy

Following runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and residency at the Natural History Museum, Do Not Adjust Your Stage (DNAYS) are bringing The Wunderkammer to The Vaults this April! In The Wunderkammer, DNAYS improvise comedy scenes, sketches and characters inspired by Ted-style talks from experts, enthusiasts and inspiring speakers. Neither the audience nor performers have seen the talks before, making for a unique evening of discovery and laughter. APRIL'S SPEAKER: GEOFF MARSHALL Self confessed London Underground nerd (he's TWICE held the World Record for travelling to all tube stations in the fastest time possible) extends his passions to the mysterious world that not a lot of people get to see - Ghost Stations. There are 49 abandoned/disused stations in London, and Geoff works as a guide for Hidden London taking people inside for tours. He's here to tell you things you didn't know about disused stations in London! Previous speakers have included the father of cloning Sir Ian Wilmut, I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue’s Colin Sell, an American TV commercial music composer, curators, a Cornish hip-hop guru, Cambridge University’s sexiest astrophysicist, a specialist in animal mating rituals, a professional skiier, a ransom negotiator, a Government economist, and a Guinness World Record holder. DNAYS are internationally renowned improv comedy company. In addition to regular UK dates, performances have included Green Man Festival, Edinburgh, Estonia, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Union Hall Brooklyn and the COP21 Climate Conference in Paris. The Wunderkammer performs in residency at The Natural History Museum and The Free Association in London. The Wunderkammer is a wonderful journey of discovery, intrigue and knowledge. Part Ted-style talks, part improvised comedy show. Every show is unique – come and see what’s inside DNAYS’ cabinet of curiosities. ★★★★★ ‘Unmissable.
