Time Out says
This year is set to be historic. The coronation of King Charles is fast approaching, so you want to make sure you’re doing something special to mark the occasion. On May 6, London Chamber Orchestra is taking over 116 Pall Mall to tie in with the regal festivities (and really, there’s no better place for it than a former palace) with music that the royal family themselves would approve of. Songs include ‘Nimrod, from Enigma Variations’ by Elgar, performed at Queen Elizabeth II Coronation in 1953 and ‘Take This Waltz’ by Leonard Cohen, who is one of the King’s favourite musicians. And if you want to go all-out? Add on the Searcys afternoon tea, with delicacies ranging from smoked salmon rillette to warm scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes and pastries. Cheers to that!
