Tired of the hectic pace of life in London? Then slow it down. Slow it right down. This wide-ranging panel talk addresses the slow living movement, including craftsmen who are deliberately making items by hand rather than rely on automation.
Speakers:
- Jonathan Warshawsky of Blenheim Forge: a forge producing bespoke handmade knives in Peckham
- Owen Wall of Owen Wall Ceramics Studio: a ceramicist based in Haggerston producing handmade plates and bowls for some of London’s top restaurants, including Lyle’s, The Clove Club and Bao
- Mark Brearley of Kaymet: a small factory in Bermondsey making beautiful anodised aluminium trays since the '40s
- Luke Hope of Hope in the Woods: a craftsman designing handmade wooden spoons
