This series of events is curated by Miranda York – founder of Toast, an events company and creative platform that celebrates the ideas and stories behind food and drink. For those of you wanting to put your hands to good use, be a bit more productive in your spare time and stretch your creative legs a little, this event is perfect. Using natural vegetable tanned hide, learn how to craft a beautiful leather tray at this one-off, intimate and specialised Slow Living Workshop with Doe Leather. Instruction and tuition will come courtesy of expert Deborah Thomas and, with a max of 10 people in attendance, you're sure to get the attention you require. Learn the basics of leather sewing with different coloured harness threads, burnishing and then hand-stamp your initials into the final piece. Not your average day out. 11am-1:30pm.
