In this evocative exploration of the horrors of war, Valentijn Dhaenens conveys the traumatic fate of frontline victims and those they leave behind.
In the flesh, Valentijn plays a hardened First World War nurse keeping dutiful watch over a critically injured soldier. Through life-sized video projections, he rises as incarnations of the wounded and dying with his flowing monologue capturing the emotional and physical fallouts of large-scale conflict.
Inspired by real life testimonies and accounts from the Crimean war to Afghanistan, the production features seamless digital imagery and an unnerving solo performance by Dhaenens.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Runtime: 1 hour 10 minutes with no interval. Please note that the show will be performed in modern english.
