Vault Festival 2016: Lates – Fat Tuesday Presents Mardi Gras

London’s biggest arts festival is returning: make your way underground for six weeks of creativity, innovation and chaos at Vault Festival. With more than 100 different shows spread across eight incredible venues, you're not going to find anything else like it above or below ground any time soon. Mardi Gras is an excuse to live to excess. One more drink. One more meal. One more song. Kansas Smitty’s and Shotgun Carousel collaborate to bring the sound and soul of New Orleans to London. In England we have pancake day to celebrate shrove Tuesday and the end of lent; over on the other side of the atlantic, they have Mardi Gras. An orgastic celebration of life, love and each other. It's Fat Tuesday's aim to bring the city that care forgot to the big smoke on the Thames. Join the second line and parade along their own Mississippi to the joyful rhythmic sound of the Kansas Smitty's House Band, urged on by performers, dancers and curiosities from Shotgun Carousel. Then enter the Vaults for a whole night of drinking, dancing and revelry as the house band play their swampy NOLA rhythm 'n' blues all night and the temperature rises to fever pitch. Over 18s only. Event finishes at 3am.
