Vault Festival 2016: The Eulogy Of Toby Peach

An honest and inspiring celebration of life and death

London’s biggest arts festival is returning: make your way underground for six weeks of creativity, innovation and chaos at Vault Festival. With more than 100 different shows spread across eight incredible venues, you're not going to find anything else like it above or below ground any time soon. “I was born on 18th December 1988. I dressed up as a bandicoot once. I was diagnosed with cancer 2,102,000 minutes ago…” Toby has come to deliver his Eulogy. Join him as he enters the (not so) exclusive Cancer Club; sample chemotherapy cocktails, select the perfect funeral playlist and marvel at Willy Wonka’s life-saving stem cell machine. From diagnosis to remission, relapse and treatment; experience a young man’s journey with cancer in this honest, fascinating and inspiring exploration of modern science and the human body; discovery of self-mortality and celebration of life. Having begun life as a short story at the BAC, The Eulogy of Toby Peach won the IdeasTap Underbelly Award 2015 and was subsequently performed to great acclaim at the Iron Belly, Underbelly Cowgate throughout Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015. ★★★★★ "Inspiring and uplifting." – Edinburgh Evening News ★★★★ "Heartfelt and buoyant." – The Stage The show takes place in the Pit space. Running time is approximately 1 hour.
