Forget messy pub crawls: this St. Patrick’s Day event (Friday, March 17) truly will sweep you away to the Emerald Isle with gorgeous live music and a generous Irish feast. Part of the London Chamber Orchestra’s concert series, this event at the grand 116 Pall Mall, in partnership with London restaurateur Searcys. It will showcase the talents of musician Úna Palliser: expect everything from jigs and reels to soaring ballads. Palliser has collaborated as a violinist and singer with the likes of Leona Lewis and Shakira – and at this concert, she’s sure to be in her element. The concert tickets alone are a reasonable £40, but for just another £35 it’s a no-brainer to add on the delicious three-course meal created by Searcy's chefs, especially for the occasion. You’ll begin with whiskey cured smoked salmon with beetroot, apple and soda bread croutons. The main course is a hearty Irish banger sausages, colcannon, heritage carrots, peas and Guinness-infused onion gravy (alternatively there’s a tasty vegetarian Irish stew). And for dessert? Dark chocolate tart with salted caramel and Irish stout ice cream.
