Write On Kew: Andrew Marr

From Shelley to Shakespeare, Keats to Coleridge

Set amidst the beauty and wonder of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Write On Kew is a hub literary festival unlike any other. With over 80 events across all genres, spread across five days and hosting some of the best authors around including Margaret Atwood, Louis de Bernières, A S Byatt and Bill Bryson, this is your chance to learn, discuss and reflect with some of the brightest minds going. Join renowned broadcaster Andrew Marr for this event at the festival as he talks about his new book, We British: The Poetry Of A People. The book explores British history and identity through poetry, from the medieval church, the court of Henry VIII, the Civil War and Restoration to the Industrial Revolution, the slave trade, the Victorian Empire, mass immigration and the two World Wars. It's history, but not like how you've read it before. Ticket includes entry into the Gardens.
